Schools Liaison

The Schools Liaison Team at Farnborough College of Technology work with schools to help young people make informed decisions about their future. We are here to give schools and their students the best possible opportunity to progress to another course, higher education and eventually employment.

The current Schools Liaison Officer is Keri McSweeney, who can be contacted via email at k.mcsweeney@farn-ct.ac.uk.

We offer schools a variety of activities, presentations and workshops to enable students to discover the range of opportunities available to them when they leave school:

Presentations and Assemblies

Our team will visit your school and deliver a tailored presentation specifically for your school. Covering; A Levels, Vocational Courses and Apprenticeships information alongside giving the students a quick insight into what college life is like. These can also take place during PHSE lesson time.

Post 16 Options Evenings

We can attend School Post 16 Options Evenings to ensure we are able to answer any questions and queries parents and students might have relating to college courses and the options available at Farnborough College of Technology.

Year 10 and 11 Parents Evenings

We can attend Parents Evenings with our college stand which will give attendees opportunities to take a look at our new prospectuses and have an opportunity to ask any questions to a representative from our Schools Liaison Team.

Career Fairs

We attend a large number of career and employment fairs across the area including events that are specifically for schools. As a local institution we are happy to represent the college at these fairs to provide information to students and the community about their further education options.

Workshops

If your school hosts a Careers or Enterprise Day throughout the year and need exciting and interactive workshops for your students to take part in, then we may be able to help.

Our workshops will provide students with a hands on experience in certain career industries including; Construction, Hair & Beauty, Catering, Media, Business and many more. For specific requirements please contact the Schools Liaison Officer directly to discuss the areas you require.
