Learner Voice

We encourage our students’ feedback and give lots of opportunities for you to give your opinion. Our students’ ideas are valued and we provide several ways for you to have your say:

  • Student Representatives
Student representatives are elected from each tutor group to attend termly department forums. They will gather feedback from their fellow students, which in turn will be discussed at the college forum where two representatives from each faculty attend once per term.
  • Annual Student Conference
The annual student conference is attended by the college forum representatives and takes place in the summer term. It’s held to promote student and staff collaboration and explore suggestions to improve our college.

These roles enable our students to meet other people in their Faculty and to have their voices heard, but also act as an excellent addition to your CV or personal statement for university applications.

Weekly Activities

On Wednesday afternoons, we host a range of activities you can get involved in for an opportunity to expand your skills and try out new things – from crafts and sports, to robotics and competitive gaming.

Guest Talks and Workshops

Regular visits from employers and professionals will enrich your learning and bring your studies to life.

Fundraising

Our learners know how to put the fun in fundraising, with previous activities including cake sales, sponsored walks, charity football matches and more!

Tutorials and Support

Our weekly tutorial programme will cover all kinds of important topics, ranging from how to live a healthy lifestyle to discovering the diversity of our country and more. It’s also your chance to talk to your tutor about how you’re getting on with your course and make plans for your future.
