Local hair stylists inspire students
Farnborough College of Technology welcomed a visit from staff at Kerry Roberts Hair Salon (Camberley) on Monday 23rd March.
Salon manager Michelle Grant brought a flavour of the commercial salon to the colleges on-site Hair & Beauty Academy, where local students train as hairdressers and beauty therapists.
Demonstrating the latest colouring trends, edgy haircuts and imaginative hair-up creations on live models, Michelle and her team did an excellent job of captivating both students and members of college staff throughout the morning.
The team was also generous in giving away a number of salon products, vouchers and goody bags, as well as a days work experience in the salon.
Clair Bryan, programme manager for hairdressing at the college, said: Michelle and her team put a great showcase together, showing all aspects of the high street salon with her dynamic, creative team.
This will undoubtedly inspire our students to think more creatively about their work, and remind them how exciting a career in hairdressing can be.
