Ritz and Glamour for Travel and Tourism Student

One of our Travel and Tourism students, Maisarah Atiqah Binti Abdullah, had the amazing opportunity this year to gain her work experience at The Ritz, London.

During her time working and training at The Ritz Hotel in London, Maisarah received first-hand experience of the professional world of travel and tourism, as well as receiving the opportunity to meet and serve high-class VIP guests.

“During my time there, I learnt so many things, gained new skills and the highlight of my time there included meeting and serving VIP guests at the hotel.” Maisarah said.

“It has helped me gain valuable and meaningful work experience during my time at college. It has also helped me develop knowledge about the course I’m studying and has helped me understand what it is like to work in the tourism industry.

“I am proud and grateful that I have done my work experience at The Ritz London.”

Programme Manager, Yvonne Gitendorfa, said: “Work placements are an important part of our courses at FCOT. Not only are they instrumental in building a student’s CV and employability, our students are also given the opportunity to gain a greater insight into the world of work and a to explore what it is like to work in a field that interests them.”
