I started on the Level 1 Creative Media course and loved it, so I carried on for the past two years as well. I’m now on Level 3 Media and still loving it.
I like the filming and editing part of the course. Placing shots where I want them, putting the transition in and thinking ‘I made this with shots that I filmed’. We’re currently producing a promotional video for the college as part of an assignment. We’ve also made film trailers, TV adverts, a music video, added sound to a soundless video and made a five minute radio show.
The facilities for the course are excellent. I love the TV studio - I’ve used the cameras and worked in the control room. The Radio studio is also good.
College is definitely better than school. It’s a lot more free and you’re treated more like an adult. During my breaks in the week I can just pop into Farnborough town, grab some lunch, hang out with friends and then come back to college to continue with the rest of my day.
